Couple of quick points ...Incredibly powerful movie. Couple of quick points though.<br />The actual number of children sent to Australia was around 10,000. That quote in the movies refers to a total of all children deported from England.<br /><br />Also I did a bit of checking on the current status of Bindoon where much of the abuse of children took place. It is now secondary agricultural college. They do mention the history of it's role in taking wards of teh state. Unfortunately there is a very mealy mouthed nod to the brutality and sexual abuse of Brother Kearney as Principal.
