  1. If you want to really understand something about Jesus and classical Christianity you need to read someone besides Borg. I am not going to make a reccomendation but I was also surprised that there were no old books among your reading. As to that matter I would recommend C. S. Lewis's Introduction to St Athanasius's On the Incarnation. In his words, the wind of centuries needs to be blowing through your brain.

  2. Thanks for your comment, Lee. My blog doesn't represent all that I have read, of course. I have read many "old" books including a good deal of CS Lewis. I just review stuff I am interested in or reading at the moment.

  3. C. S. Lewis would not consider his works "old." He was recommending the reading of the great classics or Hebrew, Greek or Latin literature including those of the earliest Chritian thinkers. You should give a try to the Ante-Nicene fathers of the Church if you want something which is authentically Christian.
